Royal Jelly is a natural remedy for acne

Royal Jelly has a very beneficial effect on the skin and is a well known remedy for home acne treatment, also recommended by dr. Gillian McKeith in her best-seller book You are what you eat.

Both Honey Bee Propolis and Royal Jelly are natural antibiotics, but do not come with the side effects that antibiotics are otherwise known to have. Antibiotics kill the bacteria in our body, but with that they also destroy the beneficial bacteria that our body requires to be healthy. Honey Bee Propolis, Pollen and Royal Jelly raise the body’s own natural resistance to bacteria and other invaders that attack out system and also provide the body with essential vitamins and minerals.

Propolis fights Cervical cancer, caused by HPV (Human Papiloma Virus)

The HPV virus (the Human Papiloma Virus) is a common cause of genital and non-genital warts. A maybe less commonly known fact is that HPV is a major cause of Dysplasia (precancerous, abnormal cells) and Cancer of the Cervix, also known as Cervical cancer.

The group of HPV viruses is a very common group and 30 out of 100 strains can cause genital warts, or, more specifically, Condylomata or Condyloma Acuminata. 13 out of these 30 virus strains can cause precancerous changes in the cells of the cervix. Having regular PAP smear tests is of much importance because with it this changes can be discovered and treated before they develop into cancer, while this, cervical cancer, is one of the most common type of cancer in women.

Among sexually transmitted HPV virus, other risk factors for cervical cancer are smoking, STD like Chlamydia and Genital herpes and, probably most important, a weakened immune system.

Honey Bee Propolis naturally boosts the immune system, fights off viruses and even cures genital warts and genital herpes. Bee Propolis is known as a natural antibiotic with strong antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and anticancer abilities.

Honey Bee Propolis will help when applied on the skin (topical use) in form of creams and ointments, but best results in boosting body’s own immune system will be achieved with Honey Bee Propolis Supplements (Propolis tincture, Propolis capsules, Propolis tablets, etc.)

Possible side effects of Royal jelly

Because Royal jelly could cause an allergic reaction, it should be regarded as potentially dangerous to consume, especially for people that know to be allergic to bee stings, bee propolis or pollen. Royal jelly is a natural substance and has numerous health benefits, with cardiovascular health, aid in digestion, treatment of depression, aiding in stress and boosting the immune system being only few of them. Royal bee jelly proves to be very beneficial to our health, but may have side effects if it is consumed to often, taken to much or without medical supervision. Another risk lies in the fact that even bees are exposed to different contaminants of bacterial or chemical nature and all those contaminants may get incorporated into bee products.

Anyone considering taking royal jelly should realize the potential side effects and discuss their doctor before taking it, especially if dealing with asthma, any allergies, or in case of being pregnant or breastfeeding. Extra caution is also needed in cases of compromised immune system. If you should experience any side effects such as problems with breathing, bronchial spasms, skin irritations, an asthma attack, or not feeling good after taking it, you should stop taking Royal jelly immediately and consult your doctor. If one would continue taking Royal jelly in spite of such side effects, it could lead to anaphylactic shock and even coma or death.

The above mentioned side effects are only common in people that are already allergic to bee stings, bee propolis, pollen or honey and are quite rare. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not consume Royal jelly or any other bee products. More about taking propolis, honey, pollen or royal jelly during pregnancy and lactation.

If you do not have any allergies, it is safe for you to take royal jelly, but you should always follow the instructions on the label, follow your body’s response to royal jelly and discuss your doctor about taking any supplements.

Bee Propolis during Pregnancy and Lactation

Bee Propolis shows great results in the treatment of infertility, associated with mild endometriosis, but it is best to avoid Propolis and other bee products in time of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

It is mostly advised not to use bee products (Honey, Bee Pollen, Propolis, Royal Jelly) while pregnant or lactating. The first argument is that the effects of Bee Propolis during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been sufficiently evaluated to confirm it’s effects on the baby.

The other reason why a pregnant or lactating mother is best to avoid Bee Propolis, and any other bee products for that matter, is that Propolis is known to be sensitizing agents; it could lead to development of allergies.

Although it is very rare that bee-related products cause serious or even fatal reactions, but there have been cases with severe side effects. Royal Jelly is warned against in cases of asthma, Bee Pollen and bee stings could cause allergic anaphylaxis, and Honey could cause infant botulism.

With the above said, it is best not to use Bee Propolis, Royal jelly, Bee Pollen or Honey while pregnant or nursing, unless you are directed to do so by your physician.
